This complete Horizon system provides a highly productive solution for automatically collating, stitching, folding and trimming professionally finished booklets in a single operation.
Horizon VAC-100a & VAC-100c Collators
The VAC-100 series uses Horizon’s proven suction feed technology to provide reliable and accurate feeding across a wide variety of paper stocks.
The two towers provide a total of 20 collating stations, making the system suitable for both short-run digital work and longer production runs.
The VAC-100 collators are simple to set up and operate and can be used either inline with the bookletmaking system or independently for straight collating work.
Horizon SPF-20A Bookletmaker
The SPF-20A receives the collated sets directly from the VAC towers before automatically stitching and folding them to produce professionally finished booklets.
The system offers quick job changeovers and is suitable for producing a wide range of booklet sizes and applications.
Horizon FC-20A Face Trimmer
Working inline with the SPF-20A, the FC-20A automatically trims the fore-edge of the finished booklet, providing a clean and professional finish.
Horizon LC-20 Long Conveyor
The LC-20 long delivery conveyor provides convenient collection and stacking of finished booklets and is particularly useful during longer production runs.
Horizon PJ-75 Jogger
Also included with the system is the Horizon PJ-75 Jogger, which is particularly useful when using the VAC collators for straight collating work, or for pre-collating sections prior to booklet production.
For thicker booklets where the number of sections exceeds the available collating stations, sections can be pre-collated into the PJ-75 and then hand-married with the remaining sections before feeding into the bookletmaker.
This greatly increases the flexibility of the system and allows much thicker booklets to be produced than would otherwise be possible from the available collating stations alone.
